The changes just started for these Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jacksonville Jaguars recently relieved David Caldwell of his general manager duties and although they have told head coach Doug Marrone and his staff that they’re safe for the remainder of the season, it seems like a matter of time before they all get a pink slip.

Marrone isn’t a bad coach per se. He’s had to make chicken salad with a less than stellar roster and wasn’t given the best hand throughout his tenure as the Jaguars head honcho. Caldwell could never get him enough good players and it seems like he was on a mission to shoo away whatever difference-makers the team had. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey, and defensive ends Calais Campbell and Yannick Ngakoue  are the first to come to mind, but they weren’t the only ones.

Also, Marrone had to put up with former Jaguars Vice President of Football Operations Tom Coughlin, who made the working conditions at Dream Finders Homes Practice Complex unbearable and was successful in bringing down the morale of this Jacksonville team before he was fired in 2019.

Regardless of the reasons, Marrone hasn’t won many games at the helm of this football team and has a 23-38 record in his five-year tenure in Jacksonville. Certainly, it’s time for a change at head coach and the Jaguars should target these four NFL coordinators for their potential opening.
