Jacksonville Jaguars: 4 potential FA replacements for Keelan Cole
This pair of veterans could upgrade the Jacksonville Jaguars WR corps.
Tyrell Williams is out for the year with a shoulder injury and has missed plenty of time the last two years, so why would the Jaguars be interested in the sixth-year wide receiver? The injuries he has suffered are non-related and should be fully healthy in 2021. He dealt with plantar fasciitis in 2019 and tore a labrum in his shoulder earlier this year.
When he’s on the field, Williams provides an element of speed and a deep threat. In 69 games, he’s hauled in 197 receptions for 3181 yards and 23 touchdowns. Although he’s signed through 2022, the Las Vegas Raiders could release him without financial consequences in 2021 and if he’s available, the Jaguars should definitely kick the tires.
A.J. Green has slowly been getting a diminished role with the Cincinnati Bengals, but looking at how things are playing out in ‘Cincy’, it’s not surprising. Injuries have hindered him the last few years and the ascending of Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd have pushed Green down the depth chart.
Nevertheless, the veteran wide receiver still has plenty of gas in the tank and it seems like he’s fully healthy. Before the injuries derailed his career, he earned seven Pro Bowl nominations and two Second-Team All-Pro designations, the Jaguars could use someone like him.
