Will the Jacksonville Jaguars bring Keelan Cole back?

Wide receiver Keelan Cole has been a reliable target for the Jacksonville Jaguars since he joined the team in 2017. The Kentucky Wesleyan standout is set to become a free agent after the 2020 season but has already stated his desire to stay in Florida.

Re-signing Cole will be one of many decisions the team’s brass will have to make in the offseason. After all, the fourth-year wide receiver isn’t the only Jaguars player that can hit the free-agent market. Cornerback Sidney Jones, slot D.J. Hayden and left tackle Cam Robinson are also set to become free agents and it’s unlikely Jacksonville will bring all of them back in 2021.

Another thing complicating matters is the fact the current regime may not be calling the shots next year. Maybe the Jaguars haven’t re-signed any of their pending free agents because they are waiting for the future front office to take charge.

Regardless of who is in charge, Cole has been a solid player that should receive interest as a free agent in 2021. In his four-year career, he’s hauled in 140 receptions for 2,503 yards and 11 touchdowns. Moreover, he averages 14.7 yards per catch and if the ‘Jags’ opt not to bring him back, the demand for his services won’t be short.

On the other hand, if this Jacksonville team lets Cole hit free agency, the decision-makers could target these four wide receivers who are set to be available in 2021.
