4 Jacksonville Jaguars on defense that must shine vs Browns
This won’t be an easy matchup for the Jacksonville Jaguars defense.
This has been a not-so-great year for the Jacksonville Jaguars and things haven’t gone the way the team’s brass expected heading into the season. If you watched the season opener, you may feel deceived in retrospect, as that has been the only game the ‘Jags’ have won in 2020.
One of the reasons why this Jacksonville team has failed to amass victories is their defense. The unit currently ranks 30 in both points and yards allowed. Moreover, they are dead last in sacks with nine.
While you could blame the front office for not making the necessary additions to the roster (you wouldn’t be wrong), injuries have also played a key role in the team’s lack of winning. Just recently, the ‘Jag’s placed rookie safety Daniel Thomas, slot cornerback D.J. Hayden, and defensive end Josh Allen on the Injury Reserve List, and not too long ago, they placed cornerback C.J. Henderson on the list too.
The Jaguars’ defense will be without some key players when they play the Cleveland Browns in Week 12. Nevertheless, they showed in Week 11, against the Pittsburgh Steelers, they can slow down opposing offenses for a while if they execute their assignments and play mistake-free football. If these four defenders shine, this team may have a chance to earn their second victory of the year.
