4 players Jacksonville Jaguars could’ve drafted instead of Davon Hamilton
These two players offered solid choices to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Although the Detriot Lions aren’t struggling as badly as the Jaguars, they have also been having a hard time winning some games this season and currently hold a 4-6 record. Some of the team’s woes have to do with their scouting department not being able to acquire playmakers.
The Lions have failed to draft many difference-makers in recent years, but they might’ve struck gold in 2020 when they chose guard Jonah Jackson with the 75th overall pick. This season, the Ohio State standout has started every single game and has quickly become a fixture of Detroit’s offensive line.
The Jaguars have a stud in linebacker Myles Jack and Joe Schobert, whom the team signed this past offseason, has filled his role in the middle well. However, this Jacksonville team isn’t getting much production from their third linebacker spot. Had the ‘Jags’ not drafted DaVon Hamilton, they could’ve chosen Terrell Lewis, whom the Los Angeles Rams took with the 84th pick.
Although the Alabama product wasn’t fully healthy and was inactive for the first four games of the season, he became the first rookie to record two sacks in one game in 2020. Also, he’s seen his role increase in recent weeks. He doesn’t currently have a featured role with Los Angeles, but if his play keeps trending up, it will be a matter of time becomes he joins the starting lineup.
