The Jacksonville Jaguars found a keeper, but there were other options.

If you look at the Jacksonville Jaguars defense, you will likely have a hard time finding many difference makers. This is due to the fact the team has failed to acquire playmakers and some of the ones they have are currently injured.

The ‘Jags’ placed cornerback C.J. Henderson on the Injured Reserve List with a groin injury and veteran Sidney Jones is nursing an Achilles’ Injury. Rookie Daniel Thomas, who had been playing well lately, suffered an arm injury just last game when this Jacksonville team played the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Defensive end Josh Allen and cornerback D.J. Hayden also left the Steelers game with injuries. The Jaguars’ injured list would surely make most nurses faint, but as bleak as things look on defense, there is still talent.

Linebackers Myles Jack and Joe Schobert have held their ground at linebacker and safety Jarred Wilson was solid against Pittsburgh. The Jaguars defensive line also has a pair of defensive talent with big upside.

Doug Costin has steadily seen his role increase and DaVon Hamilton has made the most out of his chances since he joined the defense’s starting lineup in Week 6. Looking back, the Jaguars might’ve found a keeper with the 73rd overall pick in 2020’s draft.

Nevertheless, the Ohio State standout wasn’t the only playmaker the ‘Jags’ could’ve drafted in the third round of this year’s players selection process. Here are four rookies the team had a chance to pick and have also had success in 2020.
