The Jacksonville Jaguars don’t know who will be their QB in Week 11.

It goes without saying quarterback is the most important position on the football field, and the Jacksonville Jaguars haven’t gotten much production from theirs in 2020. Jake Luton has started the last three games but, hasn’t had much success. In an effort to shake things up, they could give the starting nod to Gardner Minshew II when the team plays the Cleveland Browns in Week 11.

Head coach Doug Marrone said in a recent sitdown with the local media the team’s brass doesn’t know who is going to be their starting quarterback against the Browns and will look at the situation before making a decision. He added he’s seen Minshew throw a little bit, but needs to see him more in order to have a better feel before he makes a choice.

Minshew may give the Jacksonville Jaguars the best chance to win.

Minshew fractured the thumb in his right hand in early October, although he didn’t originally tell the coaching staff, his injury became known after the team’s loss to the Chargers in Week 7. Luton then got the starting quarterback job and has played the last three weeks for the Jaguars.

Even though the Oregon State standout was solid in his debut, he’s struggled in the last two games. In his first game as a starter, he went 26-of-38 for 304 yards, one touchdown, one rushing touchdown, and one interception.

However, he’s come crashing down since then and is 34-of-72 for 320 yards, one touchdown, and five interceptions. Had he played better, the ‘Jags’ might not be talking about the possibility of going back to Minshew, but the rookie hasn’t capitalized on the chances he’s given.

Keep in mind that the Washington State standout wasn’t playing well either earlier in the season, so he isn’t going to come back to save this team. Nevertheless, Luton’s play will make it difficult for him to stay on the field, and Minshew could provide a spark to the offense if the coaching staff goes with him in Week 11.
