The Jacksonville Jaguars need more production from their third linebacker.

If you take a close look at the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ current roster, you will see they have a few solid players on defense but not too many. In fact, the unit could definitely use an infusion of talent at all position groups, including the linebacker corps.

Weakside linebacker Myles Jack has been one of the few brights spots on defense for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020. The UCLA standout is second on the team with 65 total tackles, four of them for a loss, and is responsible for one of the two fumbles the team has forced this year.

On the other hand, Joe Schobert has been a stud at middle linebacker. Although he hasn’t been that good in coverage, his 85 tackles lead the team and he has one interception in 2021. The Jaguars knew what they were getting when they signed the former Cleveland Brown and should be pleased with his production.

However, the ‘Jags’ haven’t gotten much production from their third linebacker spot. Dakota Allen has shown he is better suited for a backup role and Kamalie Correa hasn’t done much of notice since the team acquired him via trade in the middle of the season.

This Jacksonville team is set to have $83.99 million in cap space in 2021, and have the resources to solidify the linebacker position via free agency. If they decide to take that path, they should give a call to any of these players who are set to be available in 2021.
