Not much is going well for this Jacksonville Jaguars team.

This past game wasn’t very different from most of the ones the Jacksonville Jaguars have played this year. They held the Pittsburgh Steelers scoreless for one full quarter, only to let them drop 17 points in the second quarter.

The ‘Jags’ ninth consecutive loss of the year wasn’t on the defense though. They played hard and made a few stops. Rookie Daniel Thomas even intercepted one pass, but the offense couldn’t get anything done and finished the game with a paltry three points.

If you turned off the tv after the Jaguars’ first offensive drive, you surely thought the offense was going to be sharp and they were going to put plenty of points on the scoreboard. After all, the team drove 52 yards downfield on nine plays.

Nevertheless, rookie quarterback Jake Luton was rattled by the Steelers defense and had a hard time throwing the football. He was 16-of-37 for 151 yards, four interceptions, and was sacked two times.

Although the defense allowed 27 points, it was the offense the one that failed this Jacksonville team. To make matters worse, James Robinson became only the fourth undrafted running back to register 1,000 scrimmage yards, but the milestone was overshadowed by the squad’s offensive ineptitude. Without further ado, here are three players that shined and three that struggled in the Jaguars’ 27-3 loss.
