The Jacksonville Jaguars will get James Robinson involved in Week 11.

The Jacksonville Jaguars know what they want to do on offense in their Week 11 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They want to establish the run and plan to make James Robinson a big part of their game plan.

Offensive coordinator Jay Gruden said in a recent sitdown with the local media that it’s nice to sprinkle the ball around but they want to give most of the workload to Robinson because he’s shown what he can do with the ball.

This doesn’t come as a surprise, as Robinson has been one of the few bright spots for the ‘Jags’ this season. In nine games, the rookie running back has racked up 155 carries for 689 yards and five touchdowns. Also, he’s hauled in 29 receptions for 228 yards and two receiving touchdowns.

Although the Jaguars ended up dropping their last two games, both matchups were competitive and lost by a total of six points. In both games, the Illinois State standout excelled and averaged 24 carries for 104 yards.

How feasible is the Jacksonville Jaguars game plan against the Steelers?

There’s no doubt Robinson has been efficient. Nevertheless, their rushing offense still ranks 26th in the NFL with 900 yards and 24th in scoring with seven touchdowns. Things won’t get any easier against the Steelers rushing defense, which ranks ninth in yards allowed and first in touchdowns.

To make matters worse, the rookie running back showed up in the team’s first Injury Report heading into the game with a shoulder injury and is listed as questionable. Robinson has played in every game this season and the coaching staff hasn’t expressed any concerns about the injury. However, his status is worth monitoring.

This Jacksonville team needs to play the Steelers with all hands on deck. Losing Robinson to injury would be a devastating blow and having him in the lineup ensures them the chance to be competitive in Week 11.
