The Jacksonville Jaguars will have plenty of options in 2021’s draft.

We’re still months away from the 2021 NFL Draft, but t’s not too early to see what players the Jacksonville Jaguars could select. Although the order hasn’t been established, the ‘Jags’ will likely earn the second overall pick based on his current 1-8 record.

This Jacksonville team will receive another first-round selection from the Los Angeles Rams, the second one they will get in exchange for trading cornerback Jalen Ramsey in 2019. This pick will probably be around the ’20s due to the Rams’ 6-3 record.

The Jaguars don’t have a franchise quarterback so it would make sense for them to use their first choice in a prospect such as Justin Fields. However, that’s not the only route they can take. After all, they have plenty of needs, and drafting a signal-caller in the first round doesn’t guarantee success.

The ‘Jags’ have some enticing building blocks on both offense and defense. Rookie James Robinson has been a revelation, so it’s unlikely they would choose a running back early in the players’ selection process. Their wide receiver corps looks solid and has a pair of playmakers in DJ Chark Jr. and Laviska Shenault Jr. so it wouldn’t make sense to pick another one early.

On the other hand, there are many position groups on the Jaguars roster that need an upgrade. Their front-four could use reinforcements, and so do their linebacker corps and their safety room. Quarterback is the position that has the most impact on the field, but this Jacksonville team will have a plethora of choices in the draft. Here are four prospects they could select with the second overall choice.
