The Jacksonville Jaguars played well but not enough to win.

You can say what you want about the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they showed up to play in Week 10. They ended up losing 24-20, but they kept things interesting until the end of the game. Their defense played surprisingly well and forced a couple of turnovers, it was probably their best performance of the year.

If the Jaguars offense had played a bit better, we would be talking about their second win of the year instead of their eighth consecutive loss. On the long road, it wouldn’t have mattered much if this Jacksonville team had beaten the Green Bay Packers but it would surely have given fans something to be excited about.

Rookie Jake Luton came back to earth after a superb debut in Week 9 and went 18-of-35 for 169 yards, one touchdown, and one interception against the Packers. Rookie running back James Robinson played hard once again and wide receiver Keelan Cole stepped up in teammate Laviska Shenault Jr’s absence.

Also, kicker Chase McLaughlin showed this Jacksonville team made the right decision when they signed him to take over the team’s kicking duties. The Illinois product was 2-of-2 in his field-goal attempts and nailed his two extra points. Moving forward, the team’s brass shouldn’t worry about their kicking game. In the meantime, let’s look at some of the Jaguars’ bright spots and some of the not-so-nice things in their 24-20 loss.
