The Jacksonville Jaguars’ front-seven will have to make a stand.

Defensive tackle Doug Costin will play against the Packers in Week 10. His streak of consecutive starts will stop at two after sustaining a concussion in last week’s game. The Miami product had played well enough that he earned the Jaguars starting defensive tackle job next to fellow rookie DaVon Hamilton.

With Costin out, Taven Bryan will go back to the starting lineup. The 2018 first-round pick started the first seven games of the season but had a complementary role in the Jaguars’ 27-25 loss against the Texans. In eight games this season, Bryan has registered 11 total tackles and half a sack. If the ‘Jags’ want to make a stand on defense, Bryan will have to perform at a high level.

. . Joe Schobert, linebacker. 3. player. 52.

Myles Jack is playing at a Pro Bowl level. Week in and week out, he’s been one of the best Jaguars defenders since the team used a second-round selection to draft in 2016’s players’ selection process. We don’t doubt he will play a big role against the Packers, but we can’t say the same about the rest of the team’s linebacker corps.

Kamalei Correa hasn’t had much of an impact since he joined the team via trade and Joe Schobert has been solid against the run but has had trouble defending the pass. He has been targeted 37 times and has allowed 30 receptions for 353 yards. Moreover, he’s giving up 11.8 yards per reception.
