1. The Jacksonville Jaguars’ last line of defense, the safety position.

Jarrod Wilson was a 16-game starter in 2019. He recorded 79 total tackles, four pass deflections, and two interceptions. Those are pretty good numbers, but the Michigan standout hasn’t been healthy in 2020. So far, he’s missed four games and has allowed six receptions on seven targets and his completion percentage sits at 85.7.

Meanwhile, Josh Jones is giving up 90.9 percent of the passes thrown his way and Daniel Thomas has potential but not enough to warrant a spot in the starting lineup. The Jaguars bring someone like Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons or Minnesota Vikings’ Anthony Harris, both are set to become free agents in 2021.

2. The Jacksonville Jaguars need to revamp their cornerback room.

So let’s say C.J. Henderson rebound from his rookie struggles and ends up becoming a solid cornerback. What about the rest of the Jaguars’ cornerback group? D.J. Hayden didn’t allow a pass in 2019 and was solid before the team placed on the Injured Reserve list with a hamstring earlier this year.

Sidney Jones has been adequate, but he hasn’t shown enough to make the team’s brass comfortable giving him a long-term contract. Moreover, both Jones and Hayden are set to become free agents in 2021. While this Jacksonville team could offer them a one-year deal, they could also invest one of their first-round selection in players such as Ohio State’s Shaun Wade’s or Georgia’s Tyson Campbell.
