Jacksonville Jaguars  LB Joe Schobert will return home in Week 10.

For many Jacksonville Jaguars players, playing at Lambeau Field in Week 10 when they take on the Green Bay Packers will be business. However, it will have a different meaning for linebacker Joe Schobert.

The ‘Jags’ 2020 free-agent acquisition was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and grew up rooting for the Packers, so it will surely be a different experience to play against them. Schobert said in a recent sitdown with the local media that he was spoiled watching the team transition from quarterback Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers.

Schobert also mentioned it was unfortunate that Lambeau Field would be empty on Sunday as the stadium is a big part of the team’s tradition. He has just played there once, in a preseason game, but says the memory of the moment will stay with him.

The Jacksonville Jaguars defense will try to stop Aaron Rodgers.

In the same press conference, Schobert said talked about Aaron Rodgers. While the Jaguars linebacker concedes that the Packers quarterback is one of the best in the league, he’s still a person and still makes mistakes.

Schobert doesn’t take anything away from Rodgers. In fact, he pointed out that the quarterback is great at recognizing schemes and the defense will have to try to disguise their coverage as much as they can in order to make him hold the ball. The linebacker says this in turn would help the unit get sacks.

Of course, it’s easier said than done. Besides game-planning for Rodgers, the Jaguars defense also has to execute, something they haven’t done well this season. Although the dearth of talent in the unit plays a part, other falls on execution.

Schobert says that he would love to win at Lambeau. The odds are currently against the Jaguars, but crazier things have happened. If this Jacksonville wants to pull an upset, the linebacker and the rest of the defense will have to play mistake-free football, and force Aaron Rodgers to make mistakes, something that won’t be an easy task.
