The Jacksonville Jaguars’ defense will have their hands full in Week 10.

After ten weeks of NFL football, the Jacksonville Jaguars hold a 1-7 record and haven’t won a football game since the season opener. Things won’t get any easier for them in Week 10 when they travel to Wisconsin to take on the Green Bay Packers.

One of the reasons why it will be difficult for the ‘Jags’ to pull an upset and beat the Packers is their All-Pro quarterback, Aaron Rodgers. Safety Jarrod Wilson recently broke down the things that make ’12’ so difficult to defend.

Wilson said in a sitdown with the local press that Rodgers has a strong arm, but it isn’t just that, it’s his ability to make any throw and his experience what makes him such a dangerous threat. On the other hand, the safety said that the quarterbacks’ trust in his arm could also give the Jaguars an edge.

Rodgers can make all kinds of throws, this in turn could lead him to force the ball at times. Wilson mentioned that the defense can take advantage of this if by focusing on their fundamentals and being in the correct position to make plays. He knows the Packers quarterback has seen pretty much every defense, so it will be up to the defense to execute.

Rodgers isn’t the only Packer the Jacksonville Jaguars will have to stop.

The Jaguars’ defense has an interesting conundrum. They need to stop Rodgers, but they can’t overlook a Packers running game that ranks tenth in rushing yards. This season, Aaron Jones has racked up 90 carries for 447 yards and five touchdowns. Moreover, he’s averaging five yards per carry while Jacksonville’s run defense is allowing 4.5 per play. This could end up becoming a ‘pick-your-poison’ kind of deal.

It won’t be an easy task to stop the Packers offense, but it’s possible. Wilson has already laid out the blueprint: The Jaguars defensive players need to execute their assignments and avoid making mistakes.
