The Jacksonville Jaguars stayed put ahead of the trade deadline.

Even though the Jacksonville Jaguars had a chance to make a few trades before the November 3 deadline, the team’s brass decided against it and opted to work with the talent they currently have in the building.

Head coach Doug Marrone telegraphed the organization’s intentions not to pursue any players in his latest presser. Nevertheless, we had slight hopes the ‘Jags’ would pull a last-minute deal. However, Marrone stayed true to his word and let the situation unfold without taking any action.

The Jacksonville Jaguars can still and should make some moves.

Looking back, the Jaguars could have traded for a tight end or maybe a defensive end. Marrone recently said he wants to see what tight end Ben Ellefson can bring to the table, but it’s doubtful the rookie is going to come out of nowhere and immediately perform at a Pro Bowl level.

Also, the team could get some help in the trenches. It’s too early to give up on defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson, he could use some help and guidance, that’s where a veteran player could have been helpful.

Even though the ‘Jags’ can no longer make any trades, they can still make some additions. They can pursue free agents who were or are about to be released by their respective teams, or players that haven’t been able to sign with an organization.

There is still plenty of talent on the streets and although they wouldn’t become immediate contributors, they could surely help the Jaguars turn things around and improve their 1-5 record. Without further ado, here are the four free agents the Jaguars should consider signing ahead of their Week 9 matchup against the Houston Texans.
