Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Ben Bartch is a work in progress.

The Jaguars went into 2020’s draft with three fourth-round selections. They used the first one, the 116th overall pick Ben Bartch. Coming out of Saint John’s, he was raw and wasn’t expected to contribute right away. He fell into the developmental-prospect category heading into the players’ selection process and that remains the case after seven weeks.

So far, Bartch has dressed up for all the Jaguars games this season. However, he has only played in the last two. While there is still time for the rookie guard to develop, he isn’t the kind of player you would entrust on the field for an extended period of time yet.

player. 52. . . . Tyler Davis, tight end. 5

So far, Tyler Davis has been on the list of the Jaguars inactive three times this season. He dealt with a knee injury in the first two games of the year and was a healthy scratch against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7. All in all, he has had 40 snaps on offense but hasn’t registered a stat.

Even though starting tight end Tyler Eifert has been dealing with injuries in 2020, the Jaguars have relied on veteran James O’Shaughnessy as their primary backup and not Davis. Unless O’Shaughnessy sustains a lesion, it’s unlikely the Georgia Tech product will see his playing time increase soon.
