The Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver corps is better than advertised.

Looking at the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ current 1-6 record, you would think the team lacks talent. Although you may be right to a certain extent there have been units that have played well and players that have performed solidly at an individual level.

One of those units is the ‘Jags’ wide receiver corps, which has plenty of talent and potential. While none of the team’s wideouts rank among the top 20 in the NFL in receiving yards, two of them are in the top 50 and one of them, third-year receiver D.J. Chark just missed the cut and is the 51st player in the list.

Four of the top five receivers have hauled at least 43 receptions and all of them have at least 600 receiving yards. While none of the Jaguars wideouts have surpassed the 400-yard mark, the team should be pleased with the plethora of options they have at the position.

Quarterback Garder Minshew is currently out with a thumb injury, but once he’s back he will have a pretty solid wide receiver group at his disposal. After all, it’s better to have four solid players than just a great one, as opposing defenses can’t zero in any of them and have to provide the same attention to all of them.

The Jaguars passing offense currently ranks 12th in the league with 13 passing touchdowns. If they make some adjustments in their Bye Week and keep feeding their playmakers, they could join the top ten soon, so why don’t we look at how these Jacksonville wide receivers have fared in 2020.
