4 NFL free agents Jacksonville Jaguars should still consider
The Jacksonville Jaguars still have time to add some free-agent help.
After losing against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7, the Jacksonville Jaguars had some soul-searching to do. It wasn’t just because they dropped their latest game. In fact, they have lost six straight ones. They currently hold a 1-6 record and there doesn’t seem to be a plan in place to right the ship other than head coach Doug Marrone saying he’s excited.
Things aren’t just going well for this Jaguars team. Their defense isn’t not playing well and it’s overshadowing whatever positive their offensive counterpart has produced. The expectations surrounding the team heading into the season were low and even then, they have failed to fulfill those lowered expectations.
The ‘Jags’ rookie class has been a bright spot for the team this season. While defensive end K’Lavon Chaisson hasn’t performed up to his first-round billing, wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. is leading the team in receptions with 49, and running back James Robinson is the league’s seventh-leading rusher after Week 7. Moreover, defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton had his best game yet against the ‘Bolts’ and cornerback C.J. Henderson has been solid more often than not.
However, there aren’t many veteran voices in the Jaguars locker room and maybe that’s what they need to turn things around. They are currently a young team that may benefit from signing a few free agents to right the ship. If they decide to do so, here are four that could help them win some games.
