Which three players on the Jacksonville Jaguars roster may have been forgotten but could impact this team mightily in 2020?

As the Jacksonville Jaguars wrapped up their virtual offseason program, head coach Doug Marrone told the media over a week ago he was pleased with how his players used the time to prepare for the upcoming season.

"“We really didn’t have any glitches,” Marrone said via Zoom on June 12."

The Jaguars, like every other team in the NFL, is transitioning with the hope to be able to set foot on the practice fields adjacent to TIAA Bank Field when players return for training camp. This long process, which has been made more difficult by the continued threat of the Coronavirus, may still have an impact on the 2020 season.

Now that players, new faces and those who have been here in Jacksonville, have a working understanding of the team’s new offense and the defense that has been used by coordinator Todd Wash, how will the 90 players on the roster commit to it and use it once they come back?

Over the offseason, so much has been written about addition and subtraction to the roster that fans might forget who may impact this team in a more prominent role. There were individuals who stood out last season. There were players who fell short of expectations.

"“Marrone said the focus now is being as prepared as possible for training camp – which will mark the first time players will be on the field since the end of the 2019 season,” john Oehser of Jaguars.com writes. “While official dates have not yet been announced, reports this week were that NFL training camps could begin July 28.”"

There are still five weeks without concentration on football here in Jacksonville. The Jaguars, who are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this year, hope to make a splash once they are able to put what they have been taught to practical use.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are banking on new players – through free agency and the NFL Draft – to come in and change the identity of this team. In reality, the players who have a history here should also future the difference in how the team played in 2019 to this coming season.

Here are three players that may have been overlooked on the roster, but could have a big year in 2020.
