Will the Jacksonville Jaguars show enough improvement in 2020 to become a surprise team this coming season?

The Jacksonville Jaguars brought in veteran quarterback Mike Glennon to become the team’s backup this season. As it was explained, the move brings more comfort for the coaching staff in the quarterback room moving forward.

"“Having studied Mike quite a bit when he was coming out of N.C. State, and having a good background with him, I really feel he’s going to help out football team in a lot of different ways,” head coach Doug Marrone said via Jaguars.com."

There have been plenty of changes to the team’s roster and organization this offseason. Players brought in and released or traded. Twelve draft picks added this April. A deeper running back stable has been established. All of these things have been done with the idea of making the Jaguars more competitive.

Still, it could be a very long season.

These Jaguars aren’t expected to compete for a division title or even a playoff berth. But they do play their division rivals twice this season and could make things a bit more interesting if they positioned themselves as a spoiler for the 2020 season.

Everything starts with the front offense and coaching staff.

Marrone has wanted more competition at each position and has pushed the players to make sure they are following the guidelines for the virtual offseason. It has been challenging at times, but like every other team in the NFL, the Jacksonville Jaguars are adjusting as the franchise moves forward.

If you are looking at a half-full approach to 2020, this could be a surprising season here in Jacksonville and if the team is going to be one of the better stories this year, these three questions must be answered.
