Keelan Cole

The Jacksonville Jaguars front office thought so highly of Keelan Cole this offseason, they placed a second-round tender on him in free agency. That meant if another team signed him, they would have forfeited draft picks.

It never came to that and Cole, who showed flashes of his speed when called upon last season, now will fight for a roster spot because of Jacksonville’s decision to draft Laviska Shenault Jr. out of Colorado.

I personally think the Jaguars receivers are better than they are given credit. How the players are used in a new system with Jay Gruden running the show should be interesting. Cole certainly has playmaking ability and could be a lethal combination with DJ Chark.

The point is since Sheault and Collin Johnson were added to the wide receiver room this weekend, one or more veterans could be in jeopardy of moving on.
