Xavier McKinney S, Alabama

Ranks 3rd on Daniel Jeremiah’s Best Available

Many (including myself) thought the Alabama safety would be off the board following the first round, but as we look to tonight, Xavier McKinney is still on the board and would be an intriguing addition to the Jacksonville Jaguars secondary.

The selection of McKinney would reunite him with his former Alabama teammate Ronnie Harrison and provide immediate chemistry/consistency to a Jaguars secondary that has been an influx over the past two seasons. Of the available safeties. McKinney is the cleanest prospect and offers the highest floor of the group.

McKinney would also give the Jaguars a versatile secondary defender that they can move around and utilize in different coverage schemes.
