Don’t be surprised if the Jacksonville Jaguars change the script a bit on the first night of the NFL and shock us with a few moves to improve the roster.

Trying to figure out what the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to do on the first night of the NFL draft may be more difficult than solving one side of a Rubik’s cube.

Two picks in the first round and plenty of draft capital to be had, the Jaguars may become the most popular team in the NFL. No disrespect to the Las Vegas Raiders or the Miami Dolphins, teams that have multiple picks in the first round, but this is a team poised to make a move up and down the draft board.

General manager David Caldwell and the Jaguars’ front office must push all the right buttons on all three days of the draft, hoping to bring in the right personnel to change the direction of a fractured football team. With jobs on the line for the upcoming season and possibly beyond.

The moves the team has already made by ridding themselves of key veterans proves this is a rebuild of the greatest degree.

You have to commend Caldwell for taking the long-term approach to building a winner while it’s not known whether he will be around to see the process completed.

Team owner Shad Khan may want a victorious football team in 2020, but this is something that more likely will come in two years’ time if not more.

Here are three things that could happen the first night of the NFL Draft.
