Three Jaguars who must step up amid changes in 2020

Dawuane Smoot
Many of the local media members who watched a Jaguars during OTA is in training camp weren’t sure that smoot would even be on the roster for the 2019 season. But the third-year player and third-round pick out of Illinois in 2017 had his best season in the NFL by far.
Now with changes set on the defensive front, can he take another step forward? He needs to, given the fact he will be offered every chance to make more of an impact from the rush end position and as an interior lineman.
Dawuane Smoot collected six quarterback sacks as a rotational player. She was also used inside to help with the run defense that was as porous and Swiss cheese at times. If Yannick Ngakoue is not on this roster, look for Wash to use Smoot on the outside as the third defensive end.
