NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – JANUARY 13: Offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger talks with head coach Ed Orgeron of the LSU Tigers in the College Football Playoff National Championship game at Mercedes Benz Superdome on January 13, 2020, in New Orleans, Louisiana. STEVE ENSMINGER – CURRENT OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR FOR OF THE LSU TIGERS

Steve Ensminger is the current offensive coordinator of the LSU Tigers. The Tigers had one of the best offenses in all of college football. QB Joe Burrow had a fantastic season, breaking FBS records for touchdowns and completion percentage. Ensminger was the coach responsible for play calling for the Tigers this season.

He is a bit older and he lacks any NFL experience, but his play calling should not be something that has been overlooked.

Ensminger can run multiple styles of offense and much of what they look to do is very similar to how the Jaguars offense should run. They have a quarterback in Gardner Minshew who can create plays and extend plays with his legs allowing for the receivers to get open deep. There are also ties with Leonard Fournette and DJ Chark with Ensminger who was a coach at LSU during their time at LSU.
