A.J. Bouye

It sounds kind of weird saying this, but A.J. Bouye may not be part of the Jaguars plans in 2020 because of his overwhelming contract. But if he were to renegotiate his deal and can remain healthy this season once again, he will have to prove he can remain the leader of the team’s secondary.

And if he can play well enough to earn one more season in a Jacksonville uniform. His leadership this past season was key given the changes the team went through prior to the season and during the Jalen Ramsey fiasco. The young secondary held it together while trying to gel on the fly.

Look for the Jaguars to come to Bouye and try to renegotiate his deal where more money comes off the top so they can keep Yannick Ngakoue and Campbell in the mix. Then see if Bouye takes the season he had in 2019 and use it as motivation to have a Pro Bowl season in 2020.
