DJ Chark – Wide Receiver

The Jaguars offense has been one of the biggest surprises this season. The Gardner Minshew to DJ Chark connection looks like it is one of the best in football.

Jaguars fans have to be hopeful about the future of this franchise if this connection continues to improve. Chark is a key player to watch this week, not just because of his emergence as a true No. 1 receiver, but because he will be facing off against one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL in Marshon Lattimore.

So far this season Chark has played like one of the star receivers in the league. It will be a tough task for him, Lattimore completely shut down another star receiver last week holding Mike Evans without a catch.

There have also been questions about defenses starting to gameplan arounding shutting Chark down. To that offensive coordinator, John Defilippo responded…

"“Does that make us concerned? Sure. Whenever someone tries to take one of your best players out of the game, that’s cause for concern and cause to try and game plan him where that can be alleviated as much as possible,” he said. “But at the same time, I’m confident in our guys that we can win those one-on-one matchups if they do want to bracket certain guys, especially on third down.”"

Regardless of what the defense throws at him, watch for Chark to have at least 5 receptions for 75 yards and one touchdown.
