Sources: Jalen Ramsey to join Jaguars in Denver
By David Levin
Per sources, Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey will rejoin the team and play in Denver on Sunday in the game against the Broncos.
The question every Jaguars fan wanted to know about looks like it has been answered. According to Justin Barney of news4jax.com and Benjamin Allbright, who took to his Twitter account, Jalen Ramsey will join the team in Denver ahead of the game with the Broncos on Sunday.
"“According to Benjamin Allbright of KOA Colorado, Ramsey is on his way back to Jacksonville and plans to travel with the team for their Week 4 game Sunday,” Barney wrote.“Ramsey was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report with a back issue/personal issue. He left the team Wednesday to go to Nashville for the birth of his second daughter.”"
It was announced on Wednesday evening that Ramsey, who is still seeking a trade from the team, would miss time away from football to be with his girlfriend for the birth of their second daughter. Head coach Doug Marrone made that announcement through the Jaguars and then addressed the media on Friday, stating the team had listed Ramsey as questionable because of an issue with his back, that has bothered him since the Thursday night win over the Tennessee Titans.
The apparent return of Ramsey to the team does not mean the issues with the Pro Bowl player and the organization are settled as he has been outspoken about his trade demand, which was made public following the team’s 13-12 loss to the Houston Texans.

Ramsey, who is in the final year of his rookie deal which will pay him just over $3.6 million in this season, was told this offseason he would not receive a new deal from the front office. The Jaguars have picked up his fifth-year option, which will pay him $13.7 million in 2020 should he remain with the team.
There have been several NFL teams linked to the franchise as possible trade partners, including the Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens. No deal has been completed. It has been reported by several sources the Jaguars do not want to trade Ramsey and hope to work out the differences between the player and the organization internally.
Ramsey, despite his time away from Jacksonville, was a guest once again on the “17 Weeks” podcast, stating his demand for a trade from the team still stands.
