Blake Bortles will throw an interception: FICTION

It’s somewhat justified, but it’s become a national pastime to make fun of Blake Bortles. The former first round pick made a name for himself in 2015 for his  (#fakenews) garbage time production, but all the talking heads pounced on the opportunity to bury the young quarterback after his horrific 2016 season.

This year, Blake’s role has been diminished about as much as possible for a quarterback in today’s NFL.

That being said, Blake honestly hasn’t been that bad.

Overall, Blake has had two great games, three awful games, and two average games.

He was on point in blowout wins against the Ravens and Colts, and he did what he was asked to do against the Steelers and Texans.

Blake’s three duds show his floor, but there’s a good chance we see decent or good Blake this Sunday.

I’m going to bank on decent Blake and say he manages the game well with no turnovers.

Next: The Jaguars are set up for a playoff run.

This game is a turning point for the Jaguars.

If they want to be real contenders, they need to take care of business at home against lesser competition. This is a Bengals squad that limped to a win against the same Colts team that the Jaguars absolutely blasted.

Plus the Jaguars are wearing teal. They can’t lose.

PREDICTION: Jaguars 23 – Bengals 13
