Marcus Mariota will throw an interception: FICTION

The last time Mariota stepped onto the Everbank Field, he struggled mightily for a half before getting carted off the field.

Mariota’s broken leg was literally adding insult to injury, as the Jaguars defeat of the Titans in week 16 last season also ended the team’s playoff hopes.

Mariota is back at full strength now and, despite losing to the Raiders in week 1, he still looks like the quarterback who has given the Jaguars fits over his 4 starts.

Over his career, Mariota has a 65% completion percentage and 6/1 TD to INT ratio against the Jaguars. Mariota is notoriously good in the redzone as well, having thrown zero career interceptions in that critical area.

The Jaguars front seven was monstrous last week against the Texans and that disruption led to four turnovers. I don’t think the Jaguars will have that type of success against Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin, which means Mariota should be able to keep a clean slate this week.
