The Jacksonville Jaguars certainly do not lack talent across the roster like they have in past seasons.

Our friends over at Big Cat Country recently released their early 53 man roster prediction

Here’s my prediction without the hate for Paul Posluszny or Dante Fowler Jr. …

Offense (25)

Quarterbacks: Blake Bortles, Brandon Allen

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Jags brought in another body to compete in camp, but I don’t believe they will keep more than two quarterbacks on the roster with the surplus of talent they have at other positions.

Running Backs: Leonard Fournette, Chris Ivory, T.J. Yeldon, Corey Grant, Marquez Williams

Fournette and Ivory are both locks to make the roster and I believe Yeldon makes the roster as well based on his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. Grant is also a valuable piece as he can return kickoffs and is a threat to score anytime he touches the ball.

Wide Receivers: Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee, Allen Hurns, Dede Westbrook, Brian Walters, Arrelious Benn

The Jags are keeping at least six wideouts if not seven. Benn will mostly play special teams and Westbrook will play primarily in the slot and could return punts depending on what the Jaguars do with Rashad Greene. Greene could also make the roster depending on if he can fix his ball control issues with returning punts where he made a big impact his rookie year.

Tight Ends: Mychal Rivera, Ben Koyack, Marcedes Lewis

I struggled with tight ends because I didn’t want to cut Neal Sterling, however, he gets cut due to a surplus of talent at wide receiver as well as the addition of Rivera in free agency. There was a lot of commotion after the draft as the Jaguars failed to select a tight end, but the position group is not as weak as most people think and will be just fine in 2017.

Offensive Line: Branden Albert, Cam Robinson, Brandon Linder, AJ Cann, Jeremy Parnell, Patrick Omameh, Earl Watford, Chris Bowanko, Josh Wells

This is another position where I expect another addition or two to be made before the start of the season for depth purposes. I’m assuming at least nine guys make the roster but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Bowanko lose his spot before week one.
