Jacksonville Jaguars 2017 Schedule Released: Tough Stretch Late
By Luke Sims
The Jacksonville Jaguars 2017 schedule release has some stretches that may require a tough run for the playoff-hopeful Jags.
Many hopes are pinned on the Jacksonville Jaguars 2017 schedule. The schedule, released on April 20, has the Jaguars facing some stiff competition in quick succession.
Here’s the whole schedule courtesy of the Jacksonville Jaguars official Twitter.
Let’s break down that schedule in a list for those that aren’t a fan of an embedded tweet:
Week 1: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Houston Texans
Week 2: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Tennessee Titans
Week 3:Â Jacksonville Jaguars vs Baltimore Ravens (London)
Week 4:Â Jacksonville Jaguars @ New York Jets
Week 5:Â Jacksonville Jaguars @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Week 6:Â Jacksonville Jaguars vs Los Angeles Rams
Week 7: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Indianapolis Colts
Week 8: Bye
Week 9: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Cincinnati Bengals
Week 10: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Los Angeles Chargers
Week 11: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Cleveland Browns
Week 12: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Arizona Cardinals
Week 13: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Indianapolis Colts
Week 14: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Seattle Seahawks
Week 15: Jacksonville Jaguars vs Houston Texans
Week 16: Jacksonville Jaguars @ San Francisco 49ers
Week 17: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tennessee Titans
With the Jaguars playing in London again (a game that has been known for some time) the team again only has seven games at Everbank Field with one “home” game in London. That is less than ideal for Jacksonville, but still great for building the Jags brand overseas.

The toughest stretch of the season will be betweens Week 12 and Week 15. In that stretch the Jaguars play two championship-caliber teams (the Seahawks and Cardinals) and two division rivals capable of winning the AFC South. Division games could go either way, but it is critical that the Jags win both of these if they hope to even be in contention for the postseason.
That stretch may prove to be the most difficult and the most indicative of where the Jaguars are as a team. With Shad Khan and his front office wanting to win now, this Jacksonville Jaguars 2017 schedule features a perfect late-season litmus test to prove if the Jags are for real.
