2. Rayshawn Jenkins (FS) – Miami

Rayshawn Jenkins seems to be a guy who is all over the place. Some scouts see him getting drafted as high as round three, and others see him possibly going undrafted. Jenkins would be an excellent pick if the Jacksonville Jaguars could grab him at round five or six.

Jenkins is a very aggressive player downfield. He loves to make big hits and has no problem taking out powerful running backs. Jenkins possesses the strength and athleticism to play at a high level with the right defense. He is a very disciplined player who can move around all over the place with no issue. Standing at 6’1″ and 214 lbs, he’s a powerful guy who loves to punish ball carriers.

Like Evans, Jenkins’ tackling could as well use some work. He isn’t the greatest in press coverage, but with the right coaching he could be a diamond. To me, he seems like one of those guys who is a low risk, high reward type of player. Drafted or undrafted, Jenkins will have no trouble finding his way into an NFL training camp. For the right price, he could be one hell of a player.

Jenkins has eight interceptions and 15 passes defensed in the last three seasons.
