The Jacksonville Jaguars could take plenty of routes in their draft – Todd McShay went down one possible avenue in a three-round mock.

With the draft only 14 days away, it’s time for analysts to start delving past the first round to generate content. That means going out on a limb and projecting not only how late some players might go, but how teams will try to plan out their entire draft strategy.

In his latest mock draft exercise for ESPN, Todd McShay played general manager for each team and selected players for the first three rounds. For the Jaguars, he decided to load up on offense after taking a defensive lineman early.

"Round 1 (4): Jonathan Allen, DT, AlabamaRound 2 (35): Evan Engram, TE, MississippiRound 3 (68): Carlos Henderson, WR, Louisiana TechI know the Jaguars have spent big on their defensive line the past two offseasons, but Allen is the rare D-lineman who can be an elite run defender and an elite pass-rusher while playing multiple positions up front. Alabama TE O.J. Howard will be an option for Jacksonville at No. 4, but I passed because of the tight end depth in this class. Day 2 is where I chose to get Blake Bortles a few more weapons. Engram ran a 4.42 40 at 234 pounds and has elite separation skills. I love Henderson’s speed and competitiveness. He brings value as a return man, too."

Allen is no surprise as he’s been one of the mainstays in mock drafts for the Jaguars. Ingram has also been a name thrown around for the Jaguars in the second round, but some are starting to speculate whether or not he will even be available for the Jaguars then.

The third round is a bit interesting, as McShay thinks that’s a good spot for the Jaguars to add another wide receiver. The offense appears to be set in terms of the top 3 wideouts with Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, and Marqise Lee, so Henderson would either be an insurance policy for one of them or a possible replacement in 2018. Either way, I think it’s a bit rich when the Jaguars desperately need help at offensive line and running back.

How do you think McShay fared as the Jacksonville GM?
