4) Jordan Leggett, tight end, Clemson

Jordan Leggett’s four seasons with the Clemson Tigers has yielded two productive years to end his collegiate career. Posting 86 receptions, 1262 yards, and 15 touchdowns combined in those two seasons, Leggett was an important part of Clemson’s aerial attack.

At 6’5″ and 250 pounds, Leggett’s size makes him a player no team will want to pass up. He could go as high as the third round or as late as the fourth, but his size and production at Clemson will likely make a team snatch him up before his true value so others don’t get a chance to steal him away. Self-describing himself as lazy may keep some teams away, though.

Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing will remain to be seen when he finally straps on pads and plays in the NFL, but his production as a pass catcher and his ideal size for the position makes him a coveted player who can block and catch.

In the right situation, like one under task master Tom Coughlin with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Leggett may be given the structure to succeed in the NFL. If the Jags feel he can deliver on his potential in their environment, he’d be the perfect player to take without wasting too much valuable draft capital. Right now he is an intriguing option who has piqued the national interest. Whether that’s enough for the Jags to pull the trigger involves a different calculus.
