The 2016 NFL Draft is less than a week away and the Jacksonville Jaguars are still leaving their fans wondering who the heck they might pick. The three names consistently thrown around for the fifth overall pick have been Jalen Ramsey, Joey Bosa, and Myles Jack. The prevailing opinion over the last several weeks is that Jack has moved to the forefront and will be the pick if he is there.

More from Jaguars Draft

Well Todd McShay over at ESPN doesn’t think so. In his latest mock draft, McShay takes some recent reports about Jack’s knee injury quite seriously and

slots Joey Bosa to the Jaguars

at number 5 instead.

"5. Jacksonville JaguarsJoey Bosa, DE, Ohio StateThis defense needs a lot of work, and Bosa has the technique and tenacity to be a difference-maker in Gus Bradley’s scheme. He’s a versatile 4-3 base DE who can kick inside and rush the passer in sub-package situations."

Bosa is a good fit for the Jaguars – they desperately need edge rushers – but I’d be shocked if they pass over Jack for Bosa if medical concerns about Jack’s knee have been overblown.

McShay apparently played out a doomsday scenario for Jack, dropping him all the way to 17 to the Atlanta Falcons.

"17. Atlanta FalconsMyles Jack, OLB, UCLAI’m still trying to get all of the info on Jack’s medical reports, but right now, I’m not sure if teams in the top 10 are willing to take the risk on his knee. When healthy, there’s no doubting Jack’s ability. A true sideline-to-sideline defender, he excels in coverage and would fill a major need for Atlanta."

This seems like a bit of a stretch. Jack looked outstanding doing drills in his pro day and he’s likely continued excelling in private workouts with teams. There’s a huge difference between Jack’s knee injuries and Jaylon Smith’s.

Jack might not be the pick for the Jaguars at 5, but there’s no way he’s falling all the way to 17.
