PREDICTION: Brian Hoyer will throw for 3+ touchdowns: FACT

Result: FICTION (1 TD)

Refer to the previous analysis. Hoyer didn’t have a great day, but it didn’t matter with the Jacksonville offense in neutral and Blake Bortles throwing touchdowns for the other team. Hoyer actually had 3 or 4 truly terrible passes that should have been intercepted, and one of which actually was by Davon House.

Heading into the playoffs, the Texans won’t have it as easy as they did against a limp and lifeless Jacksonville squad.

PREDICTION: Jaguars 20 – Texans 31

Result: Jaguars 6 – Texans 30

I was pretty close on the Texans score, but my confidence in Blake Bortles and the offense was not rewarded. This was a terrible game, perhaps the worst overall effort of the year and it came in week 17. There are things to be optimistic about in 2016, but now is not the time to talk about them.
