Denard Robinson will have a fumble: FICTION
After being hyped up for his first start of the season, Denard Robinson had about as bad a performance as anyone could have expected filling in for T.J. Yeldon. His contributions in the passing game aside, Shoelace had a horrific day running the ball, fumbling twice. The Jaguars were fortunate to recover both fumbles, particularly the one that Falcons’ cornerback Desmond Trufant mishandled that should’ve been scooped up for a touchdown.
Head coach Gus Bradley reiterated his belief in Robinson, most of that confidence likely being driven by Yeldon still not practicing. Still, the Jaguars are going to have to rely on Robinson at least for a handful of carries and I think Robinson has a bounceback game.
The Saints defense is atrocious, particularly against the pass. Consequently, I think the Jaguars build their offensive gameplan around Bortles passing the ball and the pressure will be off Robinson. Denard will thrive in his limited role and contribute more in the passing game than on the ground.
