PREDICTION: Blake Bortles will throw an interception: FACT

Result: FICTION

Blake didn’t throw a pick on Sunday, but he probably should have been intercepted on a terrible throw at the beginning of the game. It ended up being a circus catch by Clay Harbor, but it was undeniably an awful decision.

Bortles proceeded to have a terrible first half, but he bounced back with 4 total touchdowns in the 3rd and 4th quarter. It wasn’t his best game, but Bortles was effective in the redzone and played more than well enough.

Not according to ESPN, who inexplicably gave Bortles an awful assessment based on their apparently idiotic QBR stat.

If your stat says Matt Cassel played better yesterday than Bortles, then it needs fixing.

Next: Jaguars rout the Colts

PREDICTION: Jaguars 27 – Colts 30

Result: Jaguars 51 – Colts 16

This is the most incorrect I’ve been about any prediction this season and I’m elated by it. It probably isn’t going to be some historic turning point, but it does show the potential this team has when it’s clicking on all cylinders. Let’s see if they can put together a similar performance next week in their final home game.
