This is one game the Jacksonville Jaguars will have no business with, but if they want to win the division it could all come down to whoever knocks the other out in this contest.
If the Texans are on a winning streak (unlikely as they face the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Buffalo Bills, and New England Patriots before this game) then it may fall to the Colts to bump them off their playoff trajectory.
If the Colts are on a winning streak (which also seems unlikely with the Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Jaguars on the schedule before this one) it may fall to the Texans to bump them off their playoff trajectory.
The Texans are currently 2-1 in the division while the Colts are 3-0. Playing spoiler for one or the other could be the most important thing either team does toward the end of the season, while still competing for the AFC South.
Playing spoiler could also open things up for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Assuming at least two wins out of three games over the San Diego Chargers, Tennessee Titans, and Indianapolis Colts, the Jags could be right up there with the Colts and Texans at the top of the division. Whoever wins this game will likely help themselves and the Jaguars toward the postseason.
