Allen Hurns and Allen Robinson will finish with 1000+ yards receiving each: FACT
2005.
That’s the last year the Jaguars had a receiver amass over 1000 yards through the air (Jimmy Smith with 1023). This year, 2 receivers have a realistic shot at breaking that barrier by a decent margin. Allen Robinson is on pace for 1,340 yards and Allen Hurns is on pace for 1,172 yards, and both are on pace for over 10 touchdowns. All of that makes sense if you couple it with Bortles’ lofty projections, but it’s still mind-blowing to see the Jaguars have two productive wide receivers after a decade of ineptitude and draft busts at the position. The Allens are a pair of legitimate NFL receivers and the duo might be making the case as the best 1-2 punch in the league by the end of the year.
