Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Indianapolis Colts: Preview, TV Coverage and Streams

More from Jacksonville Jaguars News

The Jacksonville Jaguars are 1-2 but technically tied for 1st place in the AFC South. They are also tied for last, but that entire conundrum could change today as the Jaguars take on their first divisional opponent in the struggling Indianapolis Colts.

Favored to win the division by a significant margin, the defending AFC South champs have started the season very poorly, especially in regards to quarterback play. Before his vintage 4th quarter comeback last week against the Tennessee Titans, Luck was arguably playing worse than any other quarterback in the NFL. His biggest criticism since coming into the league has been his penchant to throw the occasional questionable interception and that’s been quite evident with 7 interceptions in the first 3 games. To make matters even more difficult for the Colts, Luck is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.

With all that in mind, the pressure to beat a hobbled Andrew Luck falls on the offense and the shoulders of second year quarterback Blake Bortles. The young signal caller has shown marginal improvement from his rookie season, but he needs to put together a complete game at some point to instill confidence in him moving forward. Bortles should be able to take advantage of a below average Colts defense, even without some of his primary weapons (Julius Thomas and Marqise Lee both out). Look for the Jaguars to get T.J. Yeldon going early on to open up the play-action and give Bortles some chances to go deep.
