While injuries continue to stay in the forefront of our minds, there’s plenty of other news swirling around the Jacksonville Jaguars. Keep an eye on wide receiver Rashad Greene as he makes a case for increased opportunities in the regular season.

Rashad Greene is taking advantage of extra playing time – ESPN

"Coach Gus Bradley said the team made the decision to use more three receiver formations with tight end Julius Thomas (fractured hand) out for the rest of the preseason. With Marqise Lee out with a hamstring injury, Greene got the extra work. He was on the field a lot with the first-team offense during its three drives and was targeted four times and caught two passes for 14 yards."

Telvin Smith is satisfied with his Madden ’16 ratings – ESPN

"“They’ve got my acceleration at like a 90, speed at like an 88 or something like that, and I said, ‘OK, that’s fine,'” Smith said. “As long as I go through all the linebackers and see who’s the fastest, if I’m top five, OK. If I’m not, I’ve got to call somebody. I’m calling EA [Sports].”"

32 truths ahead of opening day – NFL Mocks

"Blake Bortles needs to take the next step this year, but he can’t be expected to do it alone.  Like any talented young quarterback he’ll need help from the guys he throws to.  So far the Jacksonville Jaguars have invested at wide receiver but none have come forth as potential #1 targets that Bortles can look to on money downs.  That may be changing.  Allen Robinson is picking up right where he left off in his strong rookie season and beginning to showcase his nice mix of size and speed."

Arrelious Benn placed on injured reserve – Fox sports

"Benn, who was expected to make the 53-man roster, broke his collarbone in Saturday’s preseason game against the New York Giants and will have surgery Tuesday."
