2015 NFL Draft Grades: Jags WR Rashad Greene

facebooktwitterreddit

Rashad Greene is coming to the Jacksonville Jaguars and is looking to be one of the premiere options for quarterback Blake Bortles in 2015 and beyond.

The Jaguars saw Greene fall down the draft from the second to the third to the fourth round and finally snagged him at the top of the fifth round, completing an absolute steal in the 2015 NFL Draft.

I’ve said it before, but it is just really hard to no like this pick. As with all Jaguars picks in the 2015 NFL Draft, we’re providing Rashad Greene’s draft grade way too early for you.

Let’s dive in.

Daniel Lago

Florida State. RASHAD GREENE. A. . WR

Another great pick by the Jaguars here, filling a need and finding a quality player in the fifth round. FSU players have been kind to the Jaguars in the past, and Rashad Greene looks like an ideal fit in Jacksonville’s young stable of pass catchers. He should be the primary slot receiver could potentially have an impact on special teams. The Jaguars are sticking to their need-based drafting strategy and it looks great so far.

Luke Sims

Florida State. RASHAD GREENE. A. . WR

This is hands down the best pick in the 2015 NFL Draft for GM Dave Caldwell thus far. Greene was a steal in the fifth round and the Jaguars pounced when they saw him available. He can play the slot well and should be an immediate impact there, but don’t be shocked if he rises up the depth chart and ends up stealing reps from the other guys in the Jaguars’ receiving corps. Caldwell and Bradley have got to have the biggest smiles on their faces right now, knowing they just stole a highly talented player (Biletnikoff Award semifinalist in 2014) from out under the noses of every other team that was focused more on need in the later rounds. Expect Greene to outperform his draft slot.
