Building on the success of the Texans’ receivers, Demetrius McCray will have to play lights out to shut down one side of the field this week. Eli Manning and the New York Giants avoided McCray last week, instead picking on cornerback Dwayne Gratz. The strategy worked well in the first half and was promising for the Jaguars as they know that McCray can make plays against some good receivers. But can he effectively take away one of the two best receivers in the AFC South? That remains to be seen. His play will determine whether the secondary gets beat often or just on occasion on Sunday. Many who watch the Jags are high on the former seventh round pick, but he’ll have a serious test this week.
