Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Pittsburgh Steelers: Keep Your Enemies Close – 5 Questions with Nice Pick, Cowher

With kickoff only hours away, we decided to ping our friends over at Nice Pick, Cowher to get some information on the Pittsburgh Steelers as they travel to Jacksonville. Here’s what Kim Myers had to say:

1. The Steelers have been trying to fix their offensive line for what seems like years now. How has the O-line looked so far in 2014?

"They’ve been inconsistent, which is upsetting considering that adding Mike Munchak to the coaching staff was supposed to be the thing to take this unit to the next level. Particularly on the tackles, Marcus Gilbert struggled early and then Kelvin Beachum struggled last week. Even with their inconsistency, Le’Veon Bell is running very well and the offensive numbers are great so far so I’m still optimistic overall about the group."

2. With Ryan Shazier and Jarvis Jones out, who should the Jaguars be worried about on the Pittsburgh defense?

"Sean Spence has filled in for Shazier but there’s a definite loss of speed there. On the outside Arthur Moats and James Harrison will continue to rotate in for Jarvis Jones and you can only expect Harrison to get better and better once he’s more acclimated to being back in game shape. The strength of the Steelers defense has to be in the front seven to make up for the weaknesses in the secondary."

3. Which Steelers rookie should the Jaguars keep an eye on?

"I think everyone is still waiting to see what rookie Dri Archer can do with a kick return, he’s yet to really break one out so far this season as he’s coming back from missing two games with an ankle injury. On the defensive side of the ball, DE Stephon Tuitt has progressed pretty slowly even after being projected to get significant playing time coming out of camp but his name has come up this week in practice as one that is showing some improvements."

4. The Jaguars have had a lot of trouble covering wide receivers and tight ends. Which pass catcher, outside of Antonio Brown, should the Jaguars be worried most about?

"Antonio Brown is having himself another monster season so he’s definitely going to cause a lot of problems for a lot of teams this year. Markus Wheaton is also contributing very well and you can’t overlook the dependability of Heath Miller. Miller is one of Ben’s most reliable targets and will find his way into the endzone one way or another."

5. What’s your prediction for the game?

"I’m hoping for a bounce-back for the Steelers as they were embarrassed on all levels against Tampa Bay last week. I think they pull it together this week and I’m going 34-14 Steelers."
