Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Atlanta Falcons: Preview, TV Map and Streams
By Daniel Lago
One of the most exciting preseasons in recent memory comes to a close Thursday night as the Jacksonville Jaguars return to EverBank Field and face off against the Atlanta Falcons. The 4th preseason game is usually the least exciting from the perspective of seeing the starters, but it has a significant effect on the last few players who make the roster. After a series or two, we’ll start seeing players rotated in who will be playing for their football lives.
The Jaguars are smartly being cautious and holding out several veterans with lingering injuries in Sen’Derrick Marks, Zane Beadles and Josh Scobee. Marks in particular is set up to have a huge season and is an integral part of the defensive line – there’s no reason to put him out there and risk further injury.
Ultimately, all eyes will be on rookie quarterback Blake Bortles in what might be his last live-action on the field for a while. The team is sticking to their guns and starting Chad Henne week 1 and, while most people think he’ll make way for Bortles sooner rather than later, there’s a chance Henne could keep his starting spot for a while. If Bortles finishes the preseason on a strong note, the clamor for him to start will be pretty strong going into week 1 and beyond.
