Jacksonville Jaguars 2014 Training Camp: Day 9 Twitter Recap
By Daniel Lago
After a long offseason, it’s finally game week for the Jacksonville Jaguars! Yes, it’s just a preseason game, but this Friday the Jaguars put on their pads and jerseys and face off against an opposing team for the first time in 2014.
After an exciting scrimmage on Saturday night, the Jaguars got back to work Monday morning for their 9th training camp practice. Here are some of the snippets from Twitter.
The injuries are starting to pile up for the Jaguars, but they did get some good news as veteran quarterback Alan Ball is finally able to participate in practices.
One of the biggest concerns from Saturday’s scrimmage was the number of drops by wide receivers on catchable balls, and that appears to be leaking into practice on Monday.
Chad Henne got a lot of work in and was very vocal today in calling out his teammates.
Blake Bortles is looking to build off the momentum of a nice performance at Saturday’s practice, but he still has a ways to go if he wants to convince to the coaching staff to start him in week 1.
Practice was cut short due to lightning, but head coach Gus Bradley made it clear that ball security and drops are something they need to focus on and fix.
